Davidson River: Fishing
Crew 19 will head to Davidson River Campground in the Pisgah National Forest this September for a weekend of fishing, fellowship, and fresh mountain air. Nestled near scenic trails and crystal-clear streams, this outing offers a perfect mix of outdoor relaxation and skill-building. It’s another great example of Crew 19 pursuing adventure while living out the ALPS model of growth through Adventure, Leadership, Personal development, and Service.

Stone Mountain: Backpacking
Crew 19 will lace up their boots for a rugged and rewarding backpacking weekend through the granite domes and forested valleys of Stone Mountain State Park. Towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and expansive views set the stage for a backcountry experience that challenges both body and spirit. Carrying full packs, the crew will navigate wooded trails and elevation changes as they set up camp beneath the stars and embrace the rhythm of the trail. This journey is more than miles—it’s about resilience, teamwork, and the quiet thrill of moving through the wilderness under your own power. From the summit’s sweeping vistas to the hush of the pine-covered hollows, this Stone Mountain trek offers a chance to grow, reflect, and lead the adventure.

Cane Creek Park: AOL Mentoring
This November, Crew 19 will travel to Cane Creek Park for a weekend of mentorship and leadership in action. As part of the outing, Crew members will guide and support younger Scouts from Troop 19 and Arrow of Light Scouts from Pack 53, sharing skills, stories, and encouragement. This experience reflects Crew 19’s commitment to the ALPS model—especially the leadership and personal development that come from inspiring the next generation of Scouts.

Art Loeb Backpacking
Crew 19 will be embarking on a challenging and rewarding backpacking adventure along the Art Loeb Trail, a 30.1-mile route through North Carolina’s Pisgah National Forest. This trek features steep climbs, exposed ridgelines, and stunning mountain views, testing endurance and backcountry skills. Over multiple days, Crew 19 will navigate diverse terrain, camp in remote wilderness, and experience one of the Southeast’s most scenic and iconic trails.

Hanging Rock Backpacking
Crew 19 will embark on an exciting overnight backpacking adventure at Hanging Rock State Park, exploring a scenic section of North Carolina's Mountains-to-Sea Trail. This journey will include navigating diverse terrain, mastering wilderness navigation, and practicing essential survival skills. Along the way, Crew 19 will enjoy spectacular vistas, rugged cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and dense forests, making for a memorable outdoor experience that will challenge and enrich the crew's backcountry abilities.
